Selling on your site: the built-in store

Every hosted Devani site includes a full store — no plugin, no separate platform, no extra fee from us. You connect your own Stripe account, so payments go directly to you.

Connect Stripe

  1. Create a free account at stripe.com if you don't have one.
  2. In your site's admin, open Settings and paste your Stripe keys. Both test and live modes are supported — start in test mode and run a practice checkout before switching.

Create products

Products are created and edited in the admin like any other content. Every product picks one of four sale models:

  • Physical — ships to an address, with optional per-product shipping costs.
  • Digital — delivered as a download after payment.
  • Pay-what-you-want — the customer names the price. Great for donations and tip jars.
  • Subscription — recurring billing through Stripe, with trial support.

Products support variants (size, colour, anything — each with its own pricing), upsells, image galleries from your media library, and collections for grouping.

Inventory and discounts

  • Live inventory — turn on tracking per product and Devani counts stock down on each sale, with low-stock visibility in the dashboard.
  • Discount codes — create percentage or fixed-amount codes in the admin. Customers enter them in the cart.

Checkout, orders, and tax

Visitors add items to a real multi-item cart and pay through Stripe's hosted checkout — cards, wallets, and local payment methods, handled by Stripe. Order status updates automatically via Stripe webhooks; you manage orders and fulfillment in the admin. Tax is handled by Stripe Tax if you enable it in your Stripe account — Devani deliberately doesn't build its own tax engine.
